4U and 6U Divisions

8U, 10U, and 13U Divisions
  • Early Bird Registration - $180 / Player 
  • Standard Registration - $195 / Player
  • Late Registration -  $215 / Player 

*$50 off total registration for head coaches

*Cost covers the following: (1) player game jersey with last name and number, (1) player game short, (1) player game socks, game referees, goal, field, and equipment expenses required for season. 

Divisions and Ages:

Salem Soccer is for boys and girls 3 - 13 years of age. 

  • 3 year olds, to be eligible to play, must have turned three years of age by April 1st, 2024. 
  • 13 year olds, to be eligible to play, must be thirteen years of age on or before September 14th, 2024.

Please choose the correct division based on your child's age as of September, 14th, 2024. The divisions we offer are below.

  • 4U 
  • 6U
  • 8U
  • 10U
  • 13U
    • No player is able to play down in a younger division, but they are able to play up in an older division. To play up in an older division, players must score in the top 20% of evaluations of all players in that older division desired to play in. Please do your best to place your child in the correct league based on their age as of September 14th, 2024 (April 1 for 3 year olds). If clarification is needed, please contact us!

Evaluations 

Evaluations will be held at Salem Baptist Church on Ball Field 2. We will have jersey samples to confirm or change the size given to us at time of your Childs soccer registration.

  • Evaluations are for players in our 8u, 10u, and 13u divisions. Children in our 4u and 6u divisions DO NOT participate in evaluations. 
  • All players who do not participate in evaluations will be randomly assigned to a team based on remaining draft order and will not be drafted by a coach.  We will do our best to follow any special request for our younger divisions! 

Uniform Sizing

Uniform Sizing will be done during your online registration. Please be careful with what size you choose for your child. There is a sizing guide on the "Links" tab on the Salemsports.net webpage for your benefit. 

We will provide samples of all uniforms during time of evaluations. We strongly recommend that you come to confirm or change the sizing given to us during registration for  your child, during evaluations

All players will receive game socks, shorts, and jersey for their team uniforms. 

Season Information and Important Dates

  • May 11th --  Early Registration Opens 
  • May 18th -- Normal registration Opens
  • August 5th and 6th -- Soccer Evaluations (Not for 4u and 6u divisions)
  • August 9th and 10th -- Coaches Draft/ Rules Meetings (Not for 4u and 6u coaches) 
  • August 17th -- Coach's Clinic (For All Head and Assistant Coaches) 
    • 9:30am - 12:30pm for 4u, 6u, and 8u head/assistant coaches
    • 1:30pm - 4pm for 10u/13u head and assistant coaches
  • August 19th/20th -- First Practice For All Teams
  • September 7th -- Opening Day For All Teams
  • November 2nd -- Last Game for 8u division
  • November 2nd - End of Season Tournament for 1ou and 13u Divisions

Games and Practices

  • 4u and 6u Divisions
    • Games will be played on Saturdays only (time to be given later).
      • Make up games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday following the rained out Saturday game.
    • Each team will have one practice on either Mondays or Tuesday Nights @ 6pm but NOT both in one week.
      • Day is chosen by head coach and will be communicated after all team are formed.
    • All teams will be scheduled 8 games for the season (except in weather circumstances).
    • For 4u divisions, games will consist of (4) 7 min periods. 2 before and 2 after halftime.
    • 6U divisions will play (6) 7 minute periods. 3 before and 3 after the half. 
  • 8u, 10u, and 13u Divisions
    • Games will be played on Saturdays and some weeknights (time to be given later once teams and schedule are completed).
      • For instances where Saturday games are cancelled due to weather, make up games will be held on the following Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights.
    • Every team will be scheduled 9-10 games
      • 7 games + 2 or 3 end of season tournament games 
    • Practices will be held on weeknights starting at either 6pm or 7:30pm
      • Teams will be scheduled one weeknight practice every week for the length of the season
